ABC changes programming schedule for Superstorm Sandy coverage

(WXYZ) - ABC News is expanding their Tuesday night news programming to provide in depth coverage of Superstorm Sandy.

World News with Diane Sawyer will air a special one hour edition tonight from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It will be followed by 7 Action News at 7 p.m. from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

ABC will then air the first two hours of their normal Tuesday Primetime schedule, including the Dancing with the Stars results show from 8:00 p.m. to 9:01 p.m. 

The network will then air Happy Endings and Don't Trust the B______ in Apartment 23 at 9:01 p.m. and 9:31 p.m. respectively.

ABC is then preempting Private Practice to air a 20/20 special, The Perfect Storm from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

We will then air 7 Action News at 11 from 11:00 p.m. to 11:35 p.m.
