Aretha Franklin announces Detroit concert in June, tickets go on sale this week

DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Queen of Soul has announced a hometown show to take place this summer. Tickets will go on sale later this week.

Aretha Franklin is scheduled to perform on Friday, June 22, 2012 at downtown Detroit's Fox Theatre. The concert is set to begin at 8 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, at 10 a.m., May 4 and will be available at three price price points. They will cost $35.50, $45.50 or $75.

According to Olympia Entertainment, tickets can be purchased "at OlympiaEntertainment.com, The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com .
