DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Detroit Historical Museum is celebrating the winter break for students by opening for extended hours and offering free admission.
The museum will open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, February 17 through Friday, February 21, and will have free admission for everyone.
Along with the many exhibits the museum already has, they are opening five brand new exhibits and displays.
The exhibits include "Out on the town: Drinking and Dining in Detroit since 1920," "Detroit Decides: Our Most Celebrated Skyscrapers," "1916 Packard Twin Six Touring Car," "Documenting Detroit," and "Public Library: 150 years of Serving Detroit and Beyond."
The museum is normally open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m to 5 p.m. weekends, and tickets are $5.
