BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - The fashion designer behind some of the hottest celebrity outfits is showing off some fabulous pieces in a special fashion show and trunk sale Friday March 21st at the Fred Astaire dance studio in Bloomfield Hills.
Randall Christensen has designed pieces for Olympic Gold Medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White. His creations have also been worn by celebrities on "Dancing With The Stars."
"We are excited to host a first-of-its-kind event in our studio where we can showcase these incredible costumes and Detroiters can even try them on. It's like entering a real-life fairy tale," says Evan Mountain, co-owner of Fred Astaire Dance Studio.
Randall Designs has dressed individuals for Dancing with the Stars, Ballroom Bootcamp on TLC, Miramax's movie Shall We Dance and so many more high-profile competitions and cultural events. Nominated four times for a Costume Designers Guild Award, Christensen won an Emmy in 2006 for his "Dancing with the Stars" designs on ABC. Since 1985, he's created high-end glamour costumes for TV, film and the competitive dance world.
