TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Salvation Army and News/Talk 760 WJR are hosting their 27th annual Bed & Bread Club Radiothon today until 10 p.m. at Oakland Mall in Troy.
WJR's on-air personalities Paul W. Smith, Frank Beckmann, Steve Courtney and Ken Rogulski will lead the charge against hunger and homelessness.
Also, Bed & Bread Club Chairman and retired Detroit radio Hall of Famer Dick Purtan, will join the WJR team hosting a four hour segment between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Throughout the day, 7 Action News personalities Stephen Clark, Carolyn Clifford, Vic Faust, Tom Leyden, Joanne Purtan and Alicia Smith will make appearances.
The annual Bed & Bread Club Radiothon is the primary source of support for The Salvation Army's Bed & Bread program. All of the funds raised go directly to help feed and shelter metro Detroiters in need.
