Lots of people will be taking one collective giant step forward this weekend for a big walk against Ovarian Cancer at the Detroit Zoo. The annual event takes place Sunday Sept. 17th. Click the video player to see JoAnne Purtan's interview on 7 Action News at Noon.
The walk is organized by the Belinda Sue Fund. Check-in begins at 7:45 am at the zoo, and the walk begins at 9am.
It's a non-competitive 1-mile walk that will meander through the Zoo property. Organizers say it's a great way for families and the community to increase awareness of Ovarian Cancer and to fund early detection research.
