Yolanda Foster opens up about battle with Lyme disease

Model YOLANDA FOSTER was left bed-ridden eight months as she battled chronic Lyme disease.

The Dutch wife of legendary music producer David Foster was diagnosed with the tick-borne illness in 2012, and has spent the past year and a half dealing with the illness.

In an interview with America's Life & Style magazine, the 50 year old reveals the condition affected her brain function and left her incapacitated for months.

She says, "I had such severe neurological Lyme disease, it shut down the function of my left frontal lobe. I couldn't write, I couldn't read - I was in bed for eight months staring at the ceiling.

"I started to think I was going insane. There were times I felt I couldn't live another day this sick..."

However Foster, who is a star of U.S. reality TV show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is not letting the disease bring her down, adding, "I'm optimistic. Every day I'm fighting for my life."
