Michigan Film Office looking for crew members for new John Green film, "Looking For Alaska"
LANSING, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Michigan Film Office has attracted a new movie, based on a best-selling novel from John Green.
"Looking For Alaska," will start filming in Michigan this fall, and they are looking for extras.
The New York Times best-selling book is being adapted for the big screen by Scott Neutadter and Michael H. Weber, who also turned Green's novel, "The Fault In Our Stars," into a movie.
Specific shooting locations have not yet been announced, but should be identified in the next few weeks.
If anyone is interested in working on the film crew, please send your resume to lfafeature@gmail.com.
Last month, Gov. Rick Snyder signed a bill that eliminated the film incentive program, but the film office will remain open to attract production companies and promote the growth of the state's film industry.
