OSCARS: Detroit's fashion experts weigh in on the "Best/Worst Dressed" on the red carpet

From long, flowing trains to diamonds galore…Oscar night’s red carpet looks did not disappoint.

Many consider the Academy Awards the “Super Bowl” of fashion. Two Detroit fashion experts dish about the night's best and worst looks.

Two experts joined us on 7 Action News This Morning to give us their Best Dressed & Worst Dressed picks.

Chuck Bennett is the Detroit News’ fashion and society columnist who has named Detroit’s Best Dressed for a couple of decades – most recently in Hour Magazine.

Chuck’s Best Dressed:

1 st --Jennifer Lawrence – strapless Dior ball gown with billowing train & diamond-by-the-yard chain down her back

2 nd --Jessica Chastain – shimmering Armani gown with a red lip & old Hollywood glam hair

3 rd --Jane Fonda – canary yellow Versace gown with Chopard jewels & Jimmy Choo “Ingrid” sandals

4 th --Charlize Theron – white Christian Dior Haute Couture dress with Harry Winston jewelry & a super short hair cut

Chuck’s Worst Dressed:

--Brandi Glanville (Real Housewife of Beverly Hills) – nude mermaid dress showing way too much cleavage

Joe Faris is a Detroit fashion designer and Project Runway alum. 

Joe's Best Dressed:

1 st -- Naomi Watts – metallic Giorgio Armani Prive with an art deco vibe               

2 nd - Jessica Chastain -  Giorgio Armani Prive beaded gown

3 rd - Amanda Seyfried – pale lavender, white beaded Alexander McQueen gown with train

4 - Charlize Theron – strapless white Dior Haute Couture gown with train

           
Joe's Worst Dressed:

1 st - Halle Berry – plunging metallic Versace gown

2 nd - Reese Witherspoon – royal blue & black strapless Louis Vuitton gown with side-swept hair
