Asbestos exposure at work

If you live or work in a place that contains materials made of asbestos, you may be able to recover for your injuries caused by exposure to asbestos. Certain kinds of asbestos-based chemicals, paints and products may contain cancer causing materials. If you live or work around these materials, just breathing the air at home or in the workplace may lead to cancer of the lungs, heart or other organs. The companies that manufactured or distributed these cancer causing products and materials may be liable to you for the medical problems and damages caused by their products. If you believe that you have suffered from exposure to asbestos, you should seek immediate medical attention and professional legal help. An attorney evaluating your case should obtain and review your medical records to determine the illness and cause. Statutes of limitation may bar your claim if not filed within a certain amount of time. For more information on asbestos exposure at work, contact a qualified attorney.
