4 cups confectioners' sugar (1 pound)
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup milk
½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1 tablespoon vanilla
½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
Blend sugar and cocoa in an 8-by-8-inch glass baking dish. Pour milk on top and place butter over milk. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Remove and stir well to blend ingredients. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Place in freezer for 20 to 30 minutes or in refrigerator for 1 hour. Cut into small squares and serve. Makes 64 ½-inch pieces.
Per serving: 34 calories (22 percent from fat), 0.8 g fat (0.5 g saturated, 0.2 g monounsaturated), 2.2 mg cholesterol, 0.1 g protein, 6.5 g carbohydrates, 0 fiber, 9.5 mg sodium.
