ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) - Ann Arbor will be joining Detroit, East Lansing and Grand Rapids with the opening of HopCat, a popular restaurant and bar, in January 2015.
Beer lovers can enjoy up to 100 craft beers on tap with a variety from Michigan's own breweries and from around the world. HopCat will also serve wine and cocktails.
The restaurant's menu - “food your Mom would make if she loved beer” - includes salads, sandwiches, wraps and their famous Crack fries.
“Downtown Ann Arbor’s history as an outstanding dining, art and music destination is one of the main factors that drew us to the city,” said Mark Sellers, founder of HopCat. “With a strong business community along with the University of Michigan, the city is a perfect fit for HopCat’s philosophy of offering a unique, comfortable environment to enjoy great beer and great food with friends.”
BarFly Ventures announced that the $2 million investment will create 140 new jobs in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor.
