DETROIT (WXYZ) - The 2013 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix is looking for volunteers.
The event which will run from May 31 - Jun 2 is expected to draw 100,000 volunteers as well as race teams, vendor and partners.
Grand Prix officials are looking for a strong volunteer corps to ensure a successful event.
"Our Grand Prix volunteers have proven year after year to be the best in the business," said Bud Denker, Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix Event Chairman. "These ambassadors truly make our event special and we want to expand our volunteer ranks to include about 1,400 dedicated and hard-working people in 2013."
Volunteers are needed for circuit marshals, credentialing, customer relations, food services, golf cart shuttle operations, hospitality services, information booths, media center operations, shuttle guides, track services, ticket takers, transportation/delivery services, ushers, behind-the-scenes operations and more.
Volunteers will receive credentials, uniforms, free parking and lunch along with other perks. Grand Prix officials hope to enlist around 1,400 volunteers for the event.
