ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) - "It's like our favorite child," says Reggie Triggs about the 1966 Mustang he's owned for 20 years. "The car is like a time machine when you slip behind the wheel of it. It's like going back to 1966."
Triggs is from Atlanta, but came to Royal Oak this week for the 2014 Dream Cruise.
"I made every Dream Cruise since 1994," Ronald Strayhorn told 7 Action News Thursday afternoon.
Every year, Strayhorn, Triggs, and dozens of other car owners park their classics in the parking lot of the long-standing Shell Gas station on Woodward Avenue at Hunter.
"I'm a car lover. I'm an enthusiast. The energy, the people coming here to Sam's place, it's a culture, it's just unbelievable," said Strayhorn.
The Dream Cruise is this Saturday afternoon.
