BIRMINGHAM, Mich. (WXYZ) - When we ran into him, Mark Young of Lake Orion was dusting his car. It looked picture perfect, so we walked up and took a few pictures. Mark's 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T convertible is a pretty rare ride.
Only 296 of these were made, he told us.
Mark is a jeweler by trade. He says he picked up his car in 1989 and it took him four years before it was fully restored.
See that awesome paint color? That's what it looked like off the line.
We checked out the pristine interior and found an 8-track player complete with a Jimi Hendrix album ready to be heard.
Of course, this car doesn't just look good. Mark says he takes it to shows and puts about 400 miles a year on the Coronet.
We asked how fast he's ever gone in the car and he estimated about 125 mph. Impressive!
Mark says he has some other classic cars, but he calls this, "one of my favorites."
