FERNDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) - Thousands of people - young and old - are out on Woodward, lounging on both sides of the avenue, admiring the hot wheels and striking up conversations with strangers in the true spirit of the cruise.
All along Woodward, parking lots are full of people showing off their labors of love.
We ran into Eddie Jones at the McDonalds near 9 Mile. He's been cruising for 15 years – beginning after he retired from GM.
He raised four kids and now his baby is his 55 Chevy Bel Air. Eddie spent two years and $50,000 to get it ready for the Dream Cruise.
The Bel Air is also a very particular color called Neptune Green.
Eddie has the original catalog in his trunk - in case he needs a touch up job.
