Ferndale to celebrate 20th year of Dream Cruise

FERNDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) - Start your engines and get ready for the summer's big automotive event Ferndale Dream Cruise 2014.

Events will be taking place August 14, 15 and 16 to celebrate "20 Years of Cruis'n Woodward."

Visitors can check out the 14th Annual Ferndale Emergency Vehicle Show which will feature classic and new rescue vehicles like ambulance, police and fire from across southeast Michigan on Friday. Enjoy the Lights & Sirens Cruise of the emergency vehicles at 5:30 p.m.

There will also be an official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony with a performance by Dance Motion Xplosion.

On Saturday car enthusiasts can check out over 800 Ford Mustangs for the 16th Annual Mustang Alley at 10:00 a.m. Ford Motor Company will also be continuing its celebration of the Mustang brand's 50th Anniversary.

On all three days visitors can enjoy live music at The Rock'n Live Entertainment Stage. It will feature multiple bands including Beatles and Bob Seger tribute bands.

There will also be a Kid's Play Zone, food court, merchant vendors and more.

The action takes place at Woodward and Nine Mile for one of the biggest automotive events of the year.
