DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Blue Oval has announced the launch of 17 new or refreshed vehicles over the next 24 months.
This push by Ford is to accelerate growth in the Middle East and Africa, a place where the company reports they have seen 60-percent growth in four years.
The announcement coincides with the Dubai International Motor Show, where Ford revealed an all new EcoSport SUV this week.
Ford also points to the Fusion as one car that will be redesigned for the Middle East.
"The Middle East and Africa is poised to become one of the next big automotive growth markets and we want to be there for these customers with great new cars and trucks," says Stephen Odell, Ford president of Europe.
Odell went on to say Ford expects total sales in the Middle East to increase 40-percent to around 5-point-5 million units by 2020.
The new Ford - Middle East region will be headquartered in Dubai.
