(WXYZ) - General Motors has announced four additional safety recalls involving 428,211 vehicles.
The automaker is recalling approximately 29,019 Chevy Cruze sedans, model year 2013-2014. The recall is due to a problem with airbags not inflating properly during deployment.
Approximately 392,459 full-size pickup trucks and SUVs are also being recalled in the U.S. to fix a problem that involves a problem that could electronically switch to neutral without input from the driver. Even if the vehicle is parked it could roll away if the parking brake is not set. Affected vehicles involve 2014-15 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban and the 2015 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL.
The 2013-14 model year Chevrolet Caprice police cars and 2014 Chevrolet SS sport sedans are being recalled so that dealers can fix the windshield wiper that may not operate.
The fourth recall involves 1,939 Chevrolet Corvettes. Dealers will replace two rear shock absorbers.
