R.L. Polk expected to expand in Detroit, hire new workers and invest money

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Longtime Detroit Company R.L. Polk, the provider of automotive information including Car Fax, was acquired last month and today the new CEO was in the area.
I had a chance to sit down with IHS CEO Scott Key.
He tells me his company plans to expand R.L. Polk in Detroit, hire new workers and invest more money here.
IHS purchased Polk for $1.4 billion and grows its work force from 6700 employees to 8,000 with the acquisition.
Key is bullish on Detroit despite its financial struggles and says automotive is on the upswing.
"What it tells me is automotive is a great growth industry and we're investing in auto as we have for the last 5-6 years, so we see it as a growth investment and we see a future in Detroit to invest here but equally important to grow our brand globally."
