(WXYZ) - If you purchased Disney or Marvel hero-themed vitamins, you may qualify for a refund.
That's because the marketer NBTY has admitted the vitamins contained just a fraction of the nutritional value claimed on the packaging.
The pills were advertised as containing a dose of DHA that would satisfy 100% of a child's daily requirement, but instead the amount was miniscule.
DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid found in fish.
The vitamins were sold at a number of major retailers and online for about $4 to $8 dollars a box. The packages featured characters like Spiderman, Winnie the Pooh, and the Disney princesses.
If you believe you bought a box between May of 2008 and September 2010, you can file a claim on the FTC's website until October 12.
