Call for Action team goes to work to get a refund from an insurance policy that wasn't needed

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - Barbara Stryk is a retired West Bloomfield teacher. She learned patience teaching kindergarten for over thirty years.
However, her patience was tested when she tried to cancel an insurance policy with Blue Care Network. After purchasing supplementary insurance she realized she could have bought the same plan with her primary provider.
She quickly called to cancel her plan and was told that it wouldn't be a problem. She was told she would need to fax certain information into the company and she would have her $2,818.02 refunded.
She faxed the information and waited ten days before calling back. Unfortunately she was told there was a problem and she would have to resubmit. She ended up having to go through the process three times. This took over five months!
She finally got fed up called our Call For Action Team for help.
Our team quickly helped her got the money refunded the next day! Blue Care Network says they are not allowed to speak about former clients because of HIPAA laws but they are happy that Barbara is happy.
