We love and respect you Chief Barren!

Chief, while watching you on channel four, preparing to turn in your badge, I was so proud of you. What a class performance on your part. No harsh words, no plea for sympathy, no grandstanding, just you, Chief Barren, a prince of a man. This mayor will rue the day he released you; or maybe not, as I do not think he is interested in being a caring mayor, only a mayor carrying on in the tradition of Kilpatrick. Chief Barren, I think you would make a magnificent council member standing beside Mr. Bennet. My slogan for the both of you: "B and B for a better Detroit". Just think, Detroit would have, for sure, two reputable, intelligent, council members at the table. My best regards to a true gentleman, Marlene Badger

rvtwitty - I am not a supporter of KC nor DB, but since you seem as if you have an inside scoop, I will wait and see what happens. I know how many of the city employees work. I see them in their trucks visiting friends and family when they are suppose to be at work or you go to one of the city offices and we are treated rudely. Once someone was waiting on me at one of the offices and begin complaining about what they get paid. I looked at them and said "at least you have a job". They walked off in a huff and took their time completing my paper work. I was just getting some general information on my break from work. Get rid of all of them in office. The sooner the better.

irishcal: very good - only one thing, he is coming down on corruption> - BARREN WAS NOT CORRUPT. Now that the damage has been done, he needs to put his nose back into the CITY NEIGHBORHOODS. DOING THIS, WILL PUT THE CITY COUNTY BUILDING TO WORK, DOING DAILY WORK. ANSWERING PEOPLES CALLS FOR HELP. He seems so adruptly to divert his attention and distract the people to other issues to take them off the SUBJECT. TO DO HIS JOB, FOR THE CITY SERVANTS TO DO THEIR JOBS AND SO ON. Apparently, Barren was doing his job, and very well, He ran, and directed the Department, He has RESPECT. There is no way you can compare Obama with Bing, don't even go there. I really wouldn't be surprised if Barren packed up and left Detroit, and told them Good Luck Bingo, he has a long few more months to go. Barren has everything going for him. RESPECT & EXPERIENCE.

Bing is a real coward and an idiot. He should have been man enough to face Barren, but no, he has somebody else do his dirty-work. Another poster called Bing 'Bingpatrick', looks like that is the REAL truth. I feel that Barren was much better qualified to do the job than Kwame-puppet Evans. Barren has a better rapport with the police department than Evans could ever have. Barren is a man of integrity, something that Bingpatrick and Evans DON'T have.

Irishcal, you sure seem to know what you are talking about! I believe you. Anxious to see what comes down. Hopefully, the corruption will be gone and Detroit can come back to being a beautiful city again.

rvtwitty- I am well aware of what I am talking about. I am in the mix of all of it and see it daily first hand. The clue I have is in three weeks you all are going to see breaking news and its coming down again. Ken C is only a attention getter. Him coming on air to voice his opinion is only to get that extra attention he needs for his campaign. After all DETROIT is fed up with all the council. And having so many run he does not stand to much of a chance. The numbers will not be there.IF Detroiters came out like they did for Obama he may pull this off but sadly they won't.Its al marketing. I am avery big BING supporter however I do disagree with the replacing of Barren and mostly the hiring of Evans. Bing, Obama you voted him in NOW you have to support him. No matter how many things are CHANGING you have to support them. We don't like them but look at what we had. We no longer have a choice. I can tell you this from the inside, many departments are being gone through with a fine tooth comb. THAT is why Bing is not taking the 10 % or laying people off. There are people that was hired in or still working in departments and DPW and Water department that sit around and play cards all day and collect a union wage. Once Bing finishes he won't have to lay off the people that are really working for a pay check. And believe what I say he IS coming down on corruption! Three weeks!

Remember when Bing and Cockrel had their debate and Bing refused to name who any of his "appointees" were going to be? Now you know why. No one would have voted for him if they knew he would bring all of Kwame's peeps back. These debates are a way of gathering important little bits of info on candidates so the voter will hopefully make an informed decision. Instead the voter simply gets P-O'd because the debate is pre-empting their BS reality show.

Bing is the one that needs to be let go. Detroit, get rid of him. Vote him out.
