WATCH CHERYL CHODUN'S REPORT IN THE VIDEO PLAYER ON THE RIGHTHours after the gruesome discovery was made investigators were still at the scene carrying bags of evidence from the house, searching the garage and taking charcoal from the barbeque grill near the garage. That's because police say some of the body parts found in a freezer in the basement appeared to have been burned.
Neighbors are understandably shocked at what was found next door, and that the man and woman who lived there with a child were taken in for questioning, along with a man whose van was searched and impounded.
It is reported the man who lives at the house and is in custody told police the remains are those of a homeless man who died of natural causes and then he, the suspect, says he panicked and tried to get rid of the body. His relatives were at the scene tonight as police tried to find out exactly what did happen.
