DETROIT (WXYZ) - Every morning for years, WRIF radio fans tuned in to listen to Detroit's hit radio show 'Drew & Mike in the Morning.' Fans were disappointed when Drew Lane left the show - But, now he's back!
Greater Media announced that Drew Lane will be reunited with former co-host Mike Clark on Monday, July 13.
The Drew & Mike show will resume its drive-time spot from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on WRIF'S 101.1 FM station.
Drew and Mike worked together for almost 17 years before Lane left the show in September of 2007. The pair was known for playing off of each other's sense of humor while touching on all the talk-abouts like pop culture, current events, sports and even bizarre news.
"I'm glad to be back with Mike," said Lane. "After having worked with a great team like this, it would have been hard to do anything else."
"I am very excited to welcome Drew back," said Clark. "After nearly 17 years together, the sequel should be a lot of fun and wildly enjoyable for both of us and the listeners."
"We are thrilled to have the Drew and Mike morning team back together at the RIF," said Greater Media Detroit Market Manager John Gallagher. "Mike has done an outstanding job as the central morning personality on the station for more than a year. To have Drew and Mike together again is not only great for WRIF, but great for Detroit."
