(WXYZ) -- WXYZ.com has obtained dramatic police video that shows an officer saving at least two people along I-94, pushing them from the path of a car before it hits and injures him.

The 35-year-old Harper Woods police officer was responding to an accident Saturday afternoon when an oncoming vehicle lost control and swerved toward the officer and people involved in the earlier crash.

The video shows the officer shoving people toward safety as the car races over the shoulder of the highway and up the embankment. The car then clips the officer, injuring him the hip and back, and a nurse involved in the first accident uses his radio to call for help.
