Last Update: 11/19/2009 1:13 pm
HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - A father was arraigned on murder charges Wednesday for the shooting death of his 15-year-old son.

Police say Jamar Pinkney, Sr. shot his son, Jamar Pinkney, Jr., at point-blank range in a field next to the house where he lived with his mother.

Prosecutor's say Pinkney Sr. came to the home after being told that his teenage son inappropriately touched his 3-year-old half sister.

The father reportedly ordered his son to strip down naked, took him outside in an empty field and shot him once in the head.

Pinkney is charged with first degree murder, felonious assault and felony firearm possession.

He faces life in prison if he's convicted.
