ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) - A man is in police custody after officials say he was tasered while running through a security checkpoint at Metro Airport's McNamara Terminal.
It happened at 7:51 a.m. Monday. Witnesses say the man ignored shouts from security personnel. He is currently in police custody.
The incident forced officials to trigger the breach alarm, sealing off several sections of the complex. Screening was halted for about 50 minutes while the security tapes were reviewed. They reportedly showed that the man was alone and did not pass anything off.
Passengers near the scene of the breach were rescreened.
Airport officials say everything was back to normal by 9:30 a.m.
