Oh, so taxpayers only paid for the helicopters, fuel and Coast Guard . . . .. got it. YOU are the stupid one if you think it is ok to WASTE taxpayer dollars to look for drunk, stupid people that overloaded their boat.

UnionSuck, Go to Monroenews.com and read it for your self. I said the deputies volunteered not the Coast Guard. I will pray for you. Hopefully God will bring you a personality. Negative people get negative results. P.S. if you are looking for stupid people, look in the mirror.

Note - I have read nothing that says anyone volunteered time. The Coast Guard doesn't work for free. If I were a deputy, you couldn't pay me enough to go look for STUPID people.

MRSvdw . . go to school; you're stupid.

Jealous of unions?? that is laughable. If I were in a union , my pay would be determined by a crooked union leader !! I prefer to EARN my pay and negotiate my own pay . . . . Unions are NOTHING but hired labor . . . they don't do ANYTHING that a drunken Mexican can't do better. Why is the average grade level of a union puke 10.7, but only 24% used any tuition assistance? Who is crying the MOST about being out of work?? Unions are, because they have NO marketable skills. ******** Did the deputies use their own money for fuel?? No, send the drunk, stupid union pukes a bill.

UnionsSUck..your jealousy of the unions is beginning to show again.

UninsSUck...where does it say that there was drink involved? Did you know that deputies volunteered their services for this rescue? You need to get the facts. Talk about someone "raining on a parade". You are a downer!!!!!!

MRSVDW . . . was God watching over them when they got drunk and lost? SEND THEM THE BILL.

It is refreshing to have a bit of good news. I live in Monroe County and I am proud of the rescue. God does watch over us. I hope that their families are spoiling those men.

Good ole WXYZ proof reading again - the second to last paragraph said, '...the men have cell phones but attempts to reach them have so far been unsuccessful'.... they have been RESCUED, you idiots!! Maybe saying '..the men have cell phones but attempts to rescue them HAD been unsuccessful' would have made more sense!
