(WXYZ) - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is issuing a recall for Genie garage door openers because of an overheating issue.
The recall involves Genie models PowerMax 1200 and 1500, and Genie Pro models TriloG 1200 and 1500.
About 10,000 have been recalled in the United States.
Genie has received four reports of the control board overheating.
Consumers are advised to stop using and unplug the garage door opener and contact Genie to receive a free repair kit.
