The Michigan Humane Society is not only hosting one Mega March for Animals, but two in Metro Detroit.

The upcoming events will help the organization shelter homeless animals, respond to cruelty calls, and find animals loving homes.

Dog owners and dog lovers are encouraged to strap on their shoes and come out to one of the two walks:

Sunday, Sept. 24 - Belle Isle State Park

Sunday, Oct. 1 - Kensington Metropark

You can pre-register online by clicking here, or you can register the day of the event.

Registration for both dates begins at 9 a.m., with the walk going from 10 a.m. - noon.

The fee is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.

The money will get you a Mega March t-shirt, and will help support Michigan Humane Society's mission of improving and saving animal's lives through compassionate care, community engagement and advocacy for animals.

If you are unable to attend, you can still help by donating to the Michigan Humane Society by clicking here.
