Granting wishes to kids facing life-threatening medical conditions is the goal of the "Make A Wish Foundation.
On Saturday, May 4... you can help make those wishes come true.
The 15th annual "Walk for Wishes" kicks off at the Detroit Zoo.
Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.
The walk begins at 9:00 a.m.
Hundreds of walkers, volunteers and *Wish* families will be there.
The money raised goes toward making magical experiences come true for these kids.
Since 1984, Make-A-Wish Michigan has granted more than 7,000 wishes. This year, the organization hopes to make wishes come true for 400 kids facing life-threatening illnesses.
WXYZ is a proud media partner for this event. 7 Action News Morning anchor Alicia smith is excited to emcee the walk for a second year.
Michigan Wish Kids will be there including 7-year-old Madison of West Bloomfield. She went to Walt Disney World Resort last year thanks to Make-A-Wish Michigan.
Another Wish Kid who will be there to share her story is 8-year-old Jena of Roseville. She attended the 2012 Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards.
More than 2,100 walkers are expected to participate.
