2012 Detroit Jazz Festival opens Labor Day weekend

DETROIT (WXYZ) - The 33rd Annual Detroit Jazz Festival is set to take over 2 million square feet in downtown Detroit for Labor Day weekend.

Headliners for this year's festival include Sonny Rollins, Wynton Marsalis, Wayne Shorter and many more.

The Detroit Jazz Festival is the largest free jazz festival in the world with 23% of the audience coming from outside of Michigan.
