FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - The 3rd Annual Cipriano Classic 5K will take place on Friday, June 6 at the Farmington Family YMCA in Farmington Hills. The race will benefit the Cipriano family and the Cipriano Children's Trust.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a fun, high-energy warm-up and the race will begin at 7:00 p.m.The race will wind through the neighborhood surrounding the Y.
"This is such a wonderful community event. The outpouring of support from the Farmington community has exceeded all expectations," says Jenny Birmelin, Cipriano Classic Event Director.
All proceeds after costs will go to the Cipriano Children's Trust. The trust supports the continuing medical recovery, and the daily living needs of the Cipriano children.

Members of the Cipriano family were violently attacked in their home in 2012. The attack resulted in the murder of Robert Cipriano. His wife and son were critically beaten and endured a very long and painful recovery.
