OREGON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Lapeer County Sheriff's Office says a 56-year-old Lapeer man has drowned in the Holloway Reservoir.
It happened at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The victim has been identified as Clarence Reynolds.
Police say Reynolds disappeared after he dove head first into the water from his boat. He was with a friend who called 911 when Reynolds failed to return to the surface.
The Lapeer County Sheriff's Office Dive Team was called to the scene and they recovered his body at around 7:45 p.m.
The incident is still under investigation. However, police say alcohol and shallow waters are a factor in the incident.
