7 Action News hosts third annual Detroit 2020 Awards

(WXYZ) - On Tuesday,  7 Action News hosted the third annual Detroit 2020 Awards with the Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences choir providing the entertainment.

The Detroit 2020 Awards recognize nine outstanding community organizations that unify, inspire and act in the Detroit region.

This year's keynote speaker was Detroit Police Chief James Craig who's  determined to move the city forward.

Each winner received an award and $7,000 from the Scripps Howard Foundation.

Detroit 2020 and WXYZ are proud to recognize such outstanding community members who are committed to building a better Detroit:
