DETROIT (WXYZ) - An alleged threat was made to a voting poll watcher at the 289 polling location in Detroit.
A spokesperson for the Michigan Republican Party issued a statement saying the poll watcher went inside and was threatened by a voter who said he had a badge and a gun.
At first it was stated that a 911 call was made and police never showed up to assist. That statement has been retracted by the Michigan Republican Party.
A 911 call was never placed for help in the incident. Many poll workers at the polling location tell 7 Action News there were no altercations.
Due to the accusations, the Detroit Police Department will be issuing a statement.
