(WXYZ) - More than a week after being brutally beaten and robbed outside his Ann Arbor restaurant, 74-year-old Yong Kim is back at work at Mary's Fabulous Chicken & Fish.
He recalls that horrifying night.
"I couldn't see nothing .. just hitting," he says.
After the attack, he could be seen on surveillance video walking to the store next door for help. His face was covered in blood.
On Wednesday, he says he's 100 percent better, but by looking at his face, arms and chest you can see his is still badly bruised.
He doesn't understand why he was attacked.
"If you ask money .. I just give them .. okay .. Money not that much important you know,"he says.
Prosecutors have charged 16 year-old Carmichael Chavis and 15 year-old Antonio Young.
They're accused of beating Kim, stealing his wallet, taking the cash and ditching the wallet in a nearby lot.
Both are facing several charges including armed robbery and assault.
Both are also Kim's former customers.
However, Kim says he's not angry. He and his wife have run this business for 32 years.
He says he had to come back to work because he loves his community.
Moving forward, Kim says he wants to show the teens accused of attacking him love and guidance.
"I want to help them. Even though they done bad thing, they young men...they have future," he says.
