Arrest made after Homeland Security Investigations app launches

(WXYZ) - Less than 36-hours after the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations rolled out a new app for wanted child predators -- agents made their first arrest.

Mark Austin was arrested this afternoon -- after a number of tips were called into the ICE tipline.

The new smartphone app is part of "Operation Predator" -- a nationwide initiative to protect kids from sexual predators.

And after today's arrest, it's safe to say it's working.

Suspected child sexual exploitation or missing chil dren may be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at1-800-843-5678 .
