Are you a first-time home buyer? You may be eligible for a state grant.
The State of Michigan has allocated $15 million to the Homebuyer Assistance Grant Program, a new program created by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.
First-time home buyers are eligible for grants up to $3,000. If you are in the military or a veteran, you could be eligible for grants up to $5,000.
The money was received from a settlement with five leading mortgage servicers.
