Attempted abduction investigation underway in Pontiac

PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) - Oakland County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 400 block of 4th street for an attempted abduction.  Two young girls, ages 8 and 6, were reported to have been grabbed by an unknown male.

The two young girls were playing in front of one of the victim's home Friday evening when a grey colored four door mid-sized sedan pulled into the driveway.

Moments later, he grabbed one of the girls by her arm and pulled her into the vehicle and forced her behind the driver's seat to the floor. He then grabbed the second victim and placed her in the rear seat.

As he was getting back into the car, both young girls were able to escape.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male with shoulder length dreadlocks or braids.  He was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. He "smelled of cigarettes" and there were empty cigarette packs on the rear floor board.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or the Oakland County Sheriff's department, 248.858.4911. There is a cash reward.
