DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroiters love their Auto Show!
The number of people who decided to spend Saturday at Cobo on the first day the Auto Show is open to the public topped last year's attendance.
In fact, 2013 North American International Auto Show Chairman Jim Seavitt says it was the best in a while.
"First day attendance was the strongest in eight years," said Seavitt
The numbers reflect that showing 103,126 came out. Almost a 12% increase over last year!
The biggest attractions appear to be the new Corvette and the Driving Simulators that are at the Toyota, Mazda, Chevy, Ford and Kia exhibits.
There is also the Aisin Drive Green Experience in the Michigan Hall where you can get the feel of EVs, Hybrids and this year, electric scooters!
The North American International Auto Show is running through next Sunday.
