A candlelight vigil was held Sunday in honor of Oakland County Sheriff Deputy Eric Overall who died in the line of duty on Thanksgiving.

Oakland County residents gathered in downtown Ortonville at 4 p.m. to hang blue ribbons around town. At 5 p.m., at Mill Street and South Street, a candlelight vigil was held.
Sonja Overall, Deputy Overall's widow, spoke to the hundreds of people who gathered.
"I kind of feel a little bit robbed," Overall said. "We were supposed to have a long life together, but I was kind of cut short of that."
Several members of the community spoke at the vigil, including local leaders and pastors.
