(WXYZ) - Police are trying to track down the four men who've been breaking into pharmacies in Metro Detroit.
Investigators say the crooks strike during the overnight hours. In the last few months, they've broken into three pharmacies in Warren alone.
On July 13th, at the CVS at 12 and Ryan, investigators say the thieves got their hands on a lot of prescription drugs like Oxycontin, Methadone and Hydrocodone.
"Most of these are opiate based and easy to sell on the street. It's kind of a heroin substitute.
There's an incredible street value for these drugs," says Jere Green, Warren police commissioner.
In that CVS robbery, investigators say the estimated street value of the stolen drugs stolen is $250,000.
Police say the thieves also got away with a lot of prescription drugs when they broke into Med Smart on Schoenherr back in April.
Investigators say the crooks often use different getaway cars during the crimes.
"The profit margin is so great and the greed takes over. They're not worried about getting caught.
They want to make the big bucks," says Commissioner Green.
If you recognize any of the men in the video, please call Warren Police.
