(WXYZ) - A 10-year-old girl and her father who were involved in the deadly massive pileup on I-75 in southwest Detroit last week were released from the hospital today, according to Michigan State Police.
The girl's younger sister and her 7-year-old step-sibling died in the multi-vehicle crash.
The female passenger who was critically injured traveling in the same vehicle was upgraded to serious condition at Detroit Receiving Hospital, according to police.
The family was traveling from Canada in a black Mazda when they were involved in the 43-vehicle pileup.
The vehicles were involved in 12 separate crashes along the mile and a half stretch of freeway at Springwells on January 31, according to police.
The third fatality in the multi-vehicle accident was 54-year-old Menelaos "Larry" Manolis from Allen Park.
