(WXYZ) - A California-based company is hoping to reshape the battery landscape.
Think sleek, small, and printed.
Imprint Energy just secured $6 million in funding to advance the development of its thin, flexible, and rechargeable batteries.
Their batteries would also be able to be printed with a design and functionality especially useful in the wearable tech market.
The company’s founders say on their website that they developed the zinc-based rechargeable batteries at the University of California, Berkley.
The founders of the company are hoping that the batteries help drum up new product innovation.
