(WXYZ) - The City of Detroit instituted a controversial 6 PM curfew for minors to ensure order on the night of the fireworks.
We're told at least 114 people have been detained for breaking curfew.
Teens breaking curfew are being taken to the 4th precinct, located at 4700 Fort Street. Parents are waiting at the precinct to pick up their children.
Parents who fail to pick up their kids will pay a $500 lodging fee. The curfew for anyone 17 and younger lasts until 6 AM.
Detroit Police are using City of Detroit buses to round up children who are unattended.
