(WXYZ) - A deal with the department of natural resources will allow the Genesee County family who raised a pet deer named Lilly to keep her.
The family took Lilly in after her mother was hit and killed by a car 5 years ago.
The D.N.R. recently pushed to have Lilly removed, saying it's illegal in Michigan to keep a deer as a pet.
But after some negotiations, the D.N.R. will allow the family to keep Lilly with a special permit.
