Deputy receives minor injuries after chasing fleeing vehicle in high-speed chase

(WXYZ) - The Oakland County Sheriff's Command Desk tells us that two suspects are in custody following a high speed pursuit early Tuesday morning.

The chase started in Pontiac and ended with a crash in Auburn Hills.

At 1:00 am deputies responded to the area of 12 S. Mill Street, in Pontiac, on a report of a man with a gun.

On arrival, they found out the suspect left the area in a vehicle.

In short order, deputies observed a vehicle matching the description and gave chase.

An Oakland County Sheriff's car and an Auburn Hills Police car were struck by the fleeing vehicle, with a deputy receiving minor injuries.

The incident ended in the area of Walton and Silverbell Roads in Auburn Hills.

Both suspects are in custody -- one of them after being tasered by officers.

The suspect driver is a 38-year-old male from Pontiac, his passenger, also arrested, is a 30-year-old male from Auburn Hills.
