They became best buds around Valentine's Day this year after a traumatizing past.

After being pulled out of Detroit Animal Control and undergoing critical medical care, Carrie and Jazz found themselves on the grounds of Detroit Dog Rescue, a no-kill animal shelter, looking for a comforting friend.

Then, they found each other.

"They’ve been through a lot together, they keep each other balanced," said DDR Director Kristina Rinaldi.

Rinaldi says they're two amazing dogs that really love each other.

"They are always together, they go lay in the yard together... we have their kennels next to each other, so they can see each other when they go to bed at night," said Rinaldi.

Detroit Dog Rescue is waiving the adoption fee for both of the animals as long as they can be adopted together to the right family.

Carrie and Jazz are both young mixes, fully vaccinated and are spayed and neutered. If you're interested in adopting these best buds, email Kristina at KristinaDDR@gmail.com
